An immersive yoga practice inviting us to explore the barriers that can keep the heart closed, creating space for greater love, connection and a deeper sense of belonging with ourselves and the world around us.
Hridaya is a Sanskrit word referring to the spiritual heart, the very centre of our being. Etymologically, it is often understood through hri (“to give”), da (“to take”) and ya (“balance”), evoking the natural flow of giving and receiving and the harmony that arises between the two.
Yet this natural flow can become disrupted or inhibited by the experiences, patterns and protections we develop throughout life. Through techniques such as asana, pranayama, mudra, meditation and guided journalling, this practice offers an opportunity to gently explore those barriers, return to what truly matters, and create space for greater love, connection and belonging.
